The third quarter of 2008 realized a significant increase in European visitors to Collier County Florida. Visitation was up nearly 50% according to Tampa based tourism consultant Research Data Services Inc. Central Europe and UK lead the trend for European visitors.
Canadian travel has also grown this year in Collier County. The favorable exchange rate is a key factor. These trends are very encouraging because the primary travel season has not even begun for our area.
